SINGAPORE - M2B World Asia-Pacific, a broadband entertainment provider based out of Singapore, has entered a strategic alliance with Chinese search engine giant Baidu.

As part of this alliance Baidu will drive the internet traffic to M2B's newly launched Chinese Wow TV site.

Wow TV offers Baidu search engine users a range of free and legal online movies, TV series and variety shows via video-on-demand streaming.

Colin Binny, president and CEO of of M2B World Asia-Pacific, said: “Despite the current economic downturn we see this period as an opportunity for us to grow our broadband business by harnessing the rapidly growing online advertising market.”

Binny expects the site to attract five to 10 million viewers in the first three months and about 30-50 million viewers in a year’s time.

M2B launched Wow TV’s global site in March this year.

M2B’s parent company Amaru, a company based in Nevada, operates in the broadband media entertainment business in the US.
