Time shifts to Hong Kong as Sydney and Auckland offices close

by Benjamin Li    20-Nov-09, 15:41

HONG KONG - Time magazine will transfer its operations in Sydney and Auckland to its regional office in Hong Kong in January 2010.

A new sales structure will be announced shortly.

In a statement, Time said it would maintain its separate advertising editions in Australia and New Zealand. These editions have continued to see circulation growth, with new industry data showing readership increasing a full 16 per cent year on year to 302,000.

The statement said the new structure would continue to offer advertisers the opportunity to advertise regionally or in the wider Time global circulation.

In 2009, Time celebrated its 50th year of publishing in South Pacific.

Last week it took home the prize for Best News and Business Magazine 2009 at the inaugural AMA Awards in Sydney.
