JAKARTA - OMD has appointed Cesar Munar (pictured) from Maxus Philippines as CEO of its operations in Indonesia.

Munar will report to Maggie Choi, chief executive at OMD Asia-Pacific, and Ricky Subrata, chairman of OMD Indonesia.

At Maxus Philippines, he was group business director, managing over 20 brands and overseeing media planning and strategy, media buying and consumer research and insights.

Prior to Maxus, Munar worked across various industries and brands including Coca-Cola Philippines, where he served as director for media and marketing assets, as well as JWT, where he worked on brands including San Miguel, PepsiCo, Duty Free Philippines, Pizza Hut, and Kodak, among others.

Choi said: “Cesar is known to be consistent and conscientious in everything he does and this is the kind of leadership that is imperative in our delivery to clients in driving business results.”

She added: “He has a strong track record and knows the media landscape very well. He is also a natural businessman and that, together with great passion for media innovation, will be an asset to our business.”

OMD was launched in Indonesia in July 2007 through a partnership between Media Direction Indonesia and the media arm of local shop PT Komunika Cegas Ilhami.
