HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Government has charged Publicis Modem with the redesign of its gov.hk website following an invitation-only tender that began in March.

According to a release, Publicis Modem will revamp the site to become a one-stop GovHK portal for information pertaining to the Hong Kong Government. The agency will also implement a personalised service for the domain’s users to “bring Government services closer to Hong Kong people, creating a more convenient way to access the latest Government information and services”.

Publicis Modem added that the site would be designed as an online community that encourages audiences to create accounts, upload personalised content and register for Government services.

Sources said in March that agencies invited to participate in the pitch included OgilvyOne, MRM, wwwins Consulting and e-Crusade. The account’s value is estimated at HK$1 million (US$129,000).

The site was previously managed by the Hong Kong Government.
